Find out if you are experiencing depression with a depression quiz. Answer the following questions to yourself.

Are negative thoughts a part of your normal day?

Do you feel like you are a failure at everything you try?

When something good happens, do you feel like it will all end soon enough?

Do you require more sleep than normal just to pass the time?

Do you feel on the edge of your emotions and want to cry?

Do you have a hard time functioning on a daily basis?

Do you feel suicidal?

If you answer yes to most of the above questions, you may be experiencing depression. Once you know what the problem is, you can take the first step to recovery with self help or a visit to your family doctor for advise. Your doctor will offer further questions and decide if you need to be on medication or seek counseling in order to work your way through problems.

The emotional down turn can happen during hard times, because of trauma, or because of childhood abuse. Sometimes negative emotions do not have a reason until a counselor helps you work back to the point of when it began and what was happening at the time. Do not live with depression when help is available.
